    Man, 33, fatally shot in head in city

    Man was found unresponsive in alley in West Baltimore this morning

    City police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in the head early this morning in the 2400 block of Presbury St. in West Baltimore.

     

    The victim, a 33-year-old whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was found unresponsive in an alley, according to a police spokeswoman. He was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead about 2 a.m.

     

    The shooting death brings the city's homicide count for the year to 264. Last year at this time, Baltimore had recorded 243 homicides.
