  2. i've got a slightly older macbook that has 10.6.1 leopard or panther on it and i was

wondering how i change the setting to let me drag and move my desktop shorcuts

to wherever i want them. this is my first time really using a mac and i'm stuck.

it can be a pain in the ass when i'm working with a lot of any specific file especially

photos and music any help is much appreciated.

in finder hit ⌘J under arrange by set to "none"

  3. OK i know i'm normally giving not taking in here but hey i'm a mac to avoid shit like this

i installed windows 7 on boss's laptop dell inspiron 6000 it just barely qualifies on all the minimum requirements after some driver tinkering it seems to be running great except if it goes into hibernation when it wakes it can't see the Ethernet jack unless you run the diagnostics

    any help would be great

  4. Copy the files to several CDs or a single DVD. Make sure that you copy them, and don't burn them as audio CD tracks. You'll find your iTunes files in your My Music folder. You can also use an external drive

Put the CD or DVD in the disk drive of your new PC. Drag the song folders from the CD or DVD to the Library icon in the iTunes window. The folders and all the songs in them will be copied into iTunes. (From iTunes, you can also choose File ® "Add to Library" to copy them.)

TIP: If you're selling, scrapping, or giving away a computer that has iTunes installed on it, make sure you "deauthorize" it. If you don't, it will still count as one of the up to five computers you can play iTunes files on. To deauthorize your computer, in iTunes select Advanced ® Deauthorize Computer, select Deauthorize Computer for Apple Account, and enter your Apple ID and password.

  5. So would a Macbook be sufficient for CS4?

    it will run. . i mean i'm running cs4 on a 4 year old Macbookpro(2.16ghz core duo 4gig ram)

if you get a macbook max out the ram to 4 gigs it will make a a big difference

but I would highly recommend saving an extra week or 2 and get the macbookpro its only 200 bucks more and is a wayyyy better machine you are going to get a a better screen faster processor bigger HD upgradable to much more ram a metal body instead of plastic more ports and sd card slot

get the pro you will be happy
