I have 12" baby apes on my Sportster.
I was afraid that I would have to change out wires and brake line.
But I got away clean with just rerouting the throttle cables and moving the brake line a little.
I don't know about an '03 but I'm sure it's pretty similar.

The Hookers were dirt cheap.
Like $200 or some shit.
My girl bought them for me.
They are flat black and sound amazing, but they were engineered very poorly.
We had to do quite a bit of cutting to the main bracket to get them to fit correctly.

My stepdad has Vance & Hines fishtail slipons on his RoadKing and they sound awesome.
Other than that, I don't know about too many of them.
I have some Hookers on my Sportster and they sound perfect.
