ok, so i'm watching ben franklin's biography, and said to myself, damn, that guy wore lots of hats. and that got me thinking, is that kind of diversity in learning a thing of the past?

so let's put our heads together and make a list of people who have made multiple impacts in the collective consciousness. in america, those we could point out would be rooted especially in contemporary art, you know, fiction, poetry, music, static art, movies, cooking, but whatever you respect, not necessarily ice cube or jay-z.
