Guru’s partner DJ Premier confirmed the news in a phonecall to the radio show Hip Hop Nation yesterday and said: “Guru is in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon.” Guru – whose real name is Keith Alam – became famous back in the 80s as a member of Gang Starr, which had some big hits like Words I Manifest, Just to Get Rep and Full Clip.][/size] [He has also worked with many musicians from a variety of music genres since the 1990’s. Guru is only only 43 years old and is currently being treated at a New York Hospital.
