  1. All valid points man, and again. it just so happened that the conversation drifted from a position where I went from coming here to check on DC graff over the past several months to suddenly seeing my blog being posted here and heckled for documenting graff "incorrectly." And I do agree with you, I'm not in it to record footage to just disseminate online, and again, I have never ever posted my blog or blog entries on this site. In fact, the only reason I saw that comment so fast was because I do check 12oz prophet regularly. My goal is to elevate graff's public awareness, and I will and do keep these considerations and precautions in mind, in the future.
  2. fair enough, I'm just taking pics and calling it how I see it. Not trying to get this guy up or anything, just happens to be ubiquitous on the street that I was on... that's it. My goal is to chart DC's graffiti in general, and in that case, you gotta start somewhere.
  3. haha, I'll stick to documenting for you guys, but like he said, I got the camera equipment to film ya'lls night raids, hit me up if you're heading out, would love to play lookout and get some pics! Seriously, if you guys are interested in coverage, I shoot in HD and am flexible as hell on timing and place: ennuics@gmail.com Here's a few I got:
  4. Hey everyone, also if anyone would like to help to document or just point us in the right direction, we are 100% open to suggestions, tips, etc. We'd love to interview you to just get an idea of the direction of DC's graff scene, and we also work with the Red Line DC project, and upcoming documentary on DC's red line metro graffiti. Here's the trailer:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGJzX55zcWM Keep the good vibes going. Much love.
  5. And I agree, my comments about "raging" were not targeted towards you, nor was my blog post specifically designed or "marketed" toward the 12ozprophet forum, DC graff scene, or getting my name out. I wasn't the one who linked my post here, nor did I go around to graff sites and promote my blog. All we did was begin a documentation series on wordpress and added a few tags like Nero DC, and DC graff, and all of sudden kids are starting shit by ridiculing our documentation style/language. (specifically okkae and thenation) Anyway, this has already been beaten into the ground, I'm not here to plug anything, just trying to enjoy the DC scenery like everyone else. Keep the pics comin!
  6. Not trying to diss anyone here, but it seems like we're all in the same boat. Yeah, Nero is no cool disco dan or Borf or anything but why not give this guy some credit for marking every alley and car lot from Mass to U? Not to mention 14th is such a clear delineation of racial separation from Dupont into Logan Circle, what's wrong with inflating DC graff just a bit? We don't purport to be "experts" or old timers in this area. We use a narrative style and just try and bring a little bit of the city to the rest of the world, that's why we look at the implications of where, not just who. God knows everyone has a story to tell, so why confine DC graff to people who think they are "experts?" If you want to make a complaint about Nero's "prolific-ness" then comment on our shit, tell our readers the real truth. Honestly, I don't give a fuck, if we're wrong, then we're wrong, just don't rage about what we do or why we do it. This is a project that we started so that everyone can benefit from this documentation, so we can have a record and a running dialogue on it. Peace.
  7. hahahahahahahaha, no really though, I would waste the time, mainly because it took about 20 seconds and now you have a little context, rather than just dumping images in a forum space
