I posted this on a board I spend more time on, but a few people said if i come here i might get more opinions...

 

 

 

 

 

I'm doing an assignment on it all.. haven't come up with a specific question so i'm not sure what i wanna do... just maybe if anyone has any idea of

 

-specific events that changed or shaped melbourne graffiti or made it different from other cities/countries

-where styles from melbourne were developed from/whether it has developed its own style?

-influential writers i should research

-who the original original writers were and how long ago this was

-have done a bit of research on 'ctsa', just wondering when and for how long they existed? or how i could find out more

-how treatment of offenders has changed

-how the legal pieces side has developed, what you think of it

-which have been the best lines in the past/present

-whether there is any kind of rivalry between different cities in australia or different suburbs/areas of melbourne

-opinions on the whole cleanup thing before the commonwealth games - was it necessary/did it detract from the look of melbourne because of the loss of culture/etc

-any pics you have of pieces/tags that basically encapsulate what melb graffiti was at any specific time

-anything else i should include?

 

 

 

its a melbourne history subject so i kinda have to relate it to past and present but i pretty much can include or leave out whatever i like...
