I have a question...... if a cog is screwed directly onto a hub....then that is a bad thing right? How can you tell if this was the case. anyone?? help. Im trying to bulid a bike but I dont want to fuck it up.

Just got my first fixed gear....fucking unbeliveable. Im so hooked. here is the specs of my new baby: 1980 Centurion . It has been converted to a fixed gear bike. It has The Lightweight Champion Tubeset. SR ( Cold Forged ) Crankset, SR Bars/Stem, SR Alloy hubs, Araya Light Alloy Rims. It has 27 inch clincher wheels and the rear wheel has been re-dished for a single gear with the proper chain line alignment. NEW 1/8th size 18 tooth Track Cog, NEW Loc Ring, New 1/8 TRACK Chain, gear ratio is 18x42x170mm. The frame size is 57 cm c-c seat tube and 56 cm top tube. Stand over height is 32.5 inches. No Brakes. *s
