  1. What did you try out? Also, the most commonly used additives are the powder forms of methylene blue, and gentian violet. Another less common additive is potassium permagranate, which needs to be diluted in xylene - will not dissolve in water or alcohol.

If your asking about these additives to add to Garvey, then don't. GV is already in it.

nah dude ive dripped calligrapohy ink on my hadn one time i tried to wah it out for leiik over and hour vigourously and it wouldnt ocme out then it finally faded after abtou 4 days of attmepting to get rid of it...its pritty permanent in my opinion...but their might be different types

Thats great... you scrubbing with soap and water doesn't compare to industrial strength graffiti removing solutions.

i dont like to buy stuff online...so i was curius were i coudl get it not onlien casue i know you can cause stores use it for labels...

Buying online is extremely safe especially off of Artprimo... and you won't find anyplace online to get it.

  3. Chances are its going to be useless on its own, but you never know - it could be some dank ink. Try it out on its own, if not then its pretty much useless on its own if you don't want to go out of your way and buy additives for it.

  4. I'm about to try and make a chapstick marker and add some white out to it, any suggestions?

Yeah, I got one. Don't fucking bomb with whiteout, got me?

aight so I put drops of alcohol and chlorine in my otr ink thinking it would make it more permanent (bad idea) and it came out flary and shit. So i thought it was just to watery, so I put some kiwi ink in it thinking I was balancing it out. I know I fucked up somewhere because the ink doesn;t even come out anymore. The nib is also fucked up but It won't come out of teh little thing. So its either the ink thats fucked up, the nib, or the sponge inside that holds the ink. what do you people think, this is my first otr so bear with me

Why the FUCK would you add alcohol, or fucking CHLORINE to your ink?! Thats just some special ed shit right there, there is just no logic behind that idea. What posesses someone to add chlorine to their fucking ink is beyond me. Then after that, he fucking adds shoe polish to it. Kiwi is not ink buddy, thats the whole reason you dump it out before you make a mop.

I think the best thing to do is, read this thread from front to back - you'll be a genius.

What are these forums coming to?

  5. Uh... I usually bring 3 cans with me (fill, outline, forcefield) and do a good amount of throwies (varying the fill/outline color to get the most out of the cans). As for how far away to hold the can... just practice and get you'll develop can control.

If you don't feel like waiting, you could buy some can control from http://www.bombingscience.com, its about $60.00.

  6. Yeah kid... my boy had that shit leak in his pocket in school and it really fucked him up. Etch is no joke, even if it don't come in contact with your skin, if you breathe it in enough... there you go sounding like you been smoking for 40 years.

If if gets on your skin and you leave it there, it can kill you. Skin is semi-permeable, therefore certain things can pass through it and certain things can't. This is controlled by the outside layer of your cells called the cell wall, which controls what goes out and what comes in. Your skin is obviously not supposed to be exposed to acidic solutions, such as Etch Bath - which is made of hydrofluoric acid. If hydrofluoric acid is what wants to permeate your cell wall, its going to. It's an acid, acids are corrosive, destructive solutions. When something as harmful as hydrofluoric acid gets into you like that... well, let me sum it up real easily... you're fucked. I could explain this scientifically, but I wouldn't want to fry you're brains. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.... don't fuck with Etch unless you have taken serious precautions. You can die.

speaking of garvy you can get the violet off artprimo now, as well as several colors of marsh. No more bogus stories to labeling companys...

Yeah it's been that way for a couple of months now...

  9. First of all, dipshit, for something to corrode your bones, wouldn't it have to penetrate your skin first? You obviously don't know jack shit about this stuff, so I think you should leave the etching business up to the big boys.

  10. Sounds like it would work... but then again it doesn't. I'd rather just get a bottle of Garvey and wreck shit, dope color and dope staining. Uber props for the recipe and obvious homework that went into it, though.

  11. Tell me more about that Grog business... I might be ordering a bottle in the future if I hear enough good news.

Anyone know if theres any place that shit Corio worldwide now? I remember back in the day I couldn't find any sites...

Just having a bottle of that in my hands would make me giggle like a kindergartener....

that stuffs well old. i got sum punch leather dye and when i tried it out it takes ages to dry. i touched it after a day and it smuged, seems shit to me. does anyone know if its any good?

To this there is but a simple solution.

Don't use dyes (Griffin, Punch, Feibings, etc...) alone. Sure, they might stain, but they suck. Use dyes strictly as a base to your ink recipe, take it from me :chicken:

  13. Now I'm not sure if I read this right, but it this whole argument going on about some kid that said Griffin is better then Garvey? Ok, not that I want to get involved - but I have used Garvey on many occasions, and I have used Griffin on many more. I can tell from experience of bombing with both that Griffin blows dick compared to Garvey. Garvey is a real writers ink, get it if you want your name around for a while.

  14. It's a Zig Glue Marker, you can get it at craft stores or find it easily on the internet. The nib is really big - I reccomend you look into Leeho glue markers. Also, it's fine the way it is - you keep the nib and just gut it out. Leeho's are longer and slimmer, the nib is a little smaller - just right for my taste. You can find them cheaper then any store on the internet - buy both and give em' a try.
