Man arrested in 'Dr. Gonzo' graffiti vandalism

A 20-year-old Santa Rosa man accused of spray-painting "Dr. Gonzo" and "UK" on buildings, cars, street signs and bridges is in jail, police said Saturday.

he was arrested Friday on four felony counts of vandalism in connection with graffiti under investigation since April, Sgt. Michael Lazzarini said.

Prosecutors have been asked to consider an additional 106 misdemeanor counts of vandalism with a total damage estimate of more than $17,000, Lazzarini said.

------ was being held in Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, jail officials said.
