  1. outlaws over hazel fast and trust??? was the mink gone over too??? thats too bad.. those were some of the dopest things still running in portland as far as im concerned

I swear people will have to take a photo of what they are going to paint over just to prove that stuff was dissed out by toys, or striped... just so they won't have worriment within the graff community. The Hazel, Trust and Fast peices were all gone over long ago with tags; half assed throwups and peices.

Just my humble opinion and a few facts...

  2. it is a dert, and that is a legal wall. i asked the people who work their. i think they wud know

But standing on train property is not legal.

Go back and ask the people about that...cause they will tell you.

I personally know people that have been arrested there.

Beyond that moot point; if anything, that wall deserves some nice peices and not cruddy roller letters.

  3. And I'd rather see a hollow throw up that took skill to do, than a "piece" if thats what you call it, done by someone "so advanced" that they dont even need to follow the rules on how 3-d works....Especially when there was all that extra space..Looks like someone was out to prove a point...I wish we could all sit down and get a graffiti lesson from that guy, so I could learn the rules on how you make your shines on your letters drip, I just cant seem to get that down, DAMN! That and the fact that every time i paint, my colors always match, FUCK I HATE THAT, and third of all, I cant seem to stop making my letters consistent in width, and god damn it, they are balanced...I dont know if I will ever make it out of this damn phase of being a toy, the way graffiti is progressing around here, I dont know if I can ever get good enough to keep up...I think Im just a minor playing in the big leagues, and these guys are just pitchin too much heat for me, better go back to the little league, and play some tee ball....or even wiffle ball, this alphabet manipulation is too much for me to comprehend..by the way..dooooopppeee gpk burners on those trucks:):):)

    humm...

    1. rules of 3d? come on... the whole point of graff is to break rules, who cares which way your 3d is or isn't pointing? If people adhered to "the rules of 3d" then the whole 3d style that Erni, daim, seak etc. have been doing wouldn't exist. Instead we'd be stuck looking at 3d's dating back to the 70's...

    2. rules of color? who says everything has to match or even be consistant? Try something new, experiment! People get tired of the "tried and true".

    3. Consistant letters? wtf? Unless your painting a sign for a store or painting some font, there is no reason to keep things consistant; unless thats the look your going for. (example: Giant BA - his old peices were so consistant that one end of a peice mirrored the other end "the look he was going for") or (example: Fader Outlaws - New peices are so random, everything from colors to letters; the only thing consistant here is the randomness, and In my opinion is so amazingly refreshing)

Basically graff should be something you enjoy doing. Realize the fact that not everyone likes to paint the same styles that have been around forever and some do... Some people enjoy painting really agressive serious styles and while others like to keep things loose and fun... I beleive often times you can tell what a person is like just by how serioius or not they paint.

Not everyone has something to prove... we all enjoy bombing, painting and tagging just the same.

While everyone is entitled to their opinions; keeping things constructive and on the positive side of things tends to help the local scene where ever you are. Our only enemies should be the police, not each other.

On another note: I just discovered the "more" button for the smilies!

    :spent2: :dunce: :disguised:  :shook:

  4. I can understand some funk in ya style, but after so many YEARS, ya gotta refine ya shit man.

    Thats how life is yo!

After painting "clean" for years... its no longer fun anymore; for some of us...

There are a ton of writers around the world that can paint insane wild style burners clean... and yet many of them have stopped to have fun and let loose and experiment with funner sometimes dirtier styles. Its just another progression... another style.
