do stencils and wheatpastes early in the morning. like 3 or 4. but sometimes u can get away with wheatpastes in broad daylight

i hit the hoods in the daytime. broad daylight. cuz people in the daytime dont care. at nighttime cops patrol just looking for shit, and gangbangers patrol looking for shit too. the more upscale parts of town at night. cuz people in the daytime get on their cellphone and try to be heroes and always say "hey what're you doing?" or "hey stop that!"

Judging by this post, and your last few posts (pasted below), you seem like the anal-retentive, easily-annoyed type. Calm down, it's not that serious buddy. I know that's not "all that's out there." There are many other cities with good scenes. However judging from what I see on Flickr, fotolog, myspace, peelzine, word-of-mouth, and what I saw when I visited, a lot of tight shit is coming out of Philly. That's all. Robots Will Kill, Obey Giant, Bob, Slowpoke, Nose, Scarekroe (as a cop), Stache, Dick Ripple, Sheep, Visual Narcotics, and the other two I forget... just put up today. can't really tell by the photo but these stickers are up high so they'll be there for a while... the stickers are about 9 feet off the ground... i had to use a pushbroom with wheat paste to put em up high. lots of traffic since it's at a freeway onramp, so many will see it. i was gonna do this at 4 in the morning but i overslept and said fuck it and did it at about 12 noon with all these folks lookin at me. got lucky cuz right after i got done a cop car passed. a sticker i made a while back. photo does it no justice but it's a big sticker. 8 inches wide, 11 inches tall... about 9 feet off the ground. i bombed the streets and trains for 9 years, since jr. high to just last year with tags, throwups, and pieces. got busted so many times, risked my life so many times and now i'm trying to settle and have a family. that's my reason. so now i only do legal pieces, and just recently i been doin stencils, stickers, wheatpaste posters. i'm not "pissed," all i'm saying is the fact is a lot of people that do "street art" or whatever label someone wants to give it used to bomb, or still do. i just got that urge to still get up despite getting older and settling down, growing up, getting a nice job, pursuing a degree, and a lovely lady, etc. etc. i just saw i have more to risk... to me family, school, friends, etc is more important to me than risking more jailtime or getting shot at (again). it just ain't worth it. g'nite!

i have no idea. somebody told me before but i forget. he's everywhere. i seen him around tokyo a lot too.

yeah i agree. me putting stickers up isn't more "important" and "valuable" to society than what law enforcement officers do. this fact however doesn't stop me from doing it.
