screenprinting

im in the process of writing an explanatory essay "How to produce a silkscreen" and i know there are some screenprinters on this board(ie. blackham). if anybody has any tips or tricks that they use i would appreciate you sharing them with me.

i figured this one out last night:

 

when lining up the screen to the film on a multi-color job, tape the film (with the bullets lined up perfectly) to the bottom of the first screen and put a few pieces of rolled up masking tape on the back of the film. when you drop the screen to the table, put a t-square between the film and the screen and break the tape or pull up gently so it un-sticks. if you've done it correctly the first screen will be lined up perfectly.
