Anyhow, so I am curious to know tho, when powerful people want the internet scrubbed of something, does the scrubbing also work in the deep/dark web?  

 

It's a combination of 3 things

1. Clout: When the story broke last election and 51 intelligence officials signed a document claiming the laptop "Had the classic earmarks of a Russian hoax" in an effort to interfere with the 2020 election, that's their go to step one because this is free. Biden himself framed it as disinformation during the debates.
2. Money: When you're literally raking in millions illegally by putting your crackhead son on the "board of directors" (payroll)  for Burisma, you have the opportunity to scrub information simply by paying people to perform google searches, find the results, and pay those sites take it down.
3. Threats from Attorneys: You can also use attorneys to threaten people, like me personally, I don't like politicians, but if I've got one of them threatening me with legal action, and I see what they're doing to other people, and how the CIA has their backs, I'd take the threat very seriously and consider if it's worth it to publish information in the first place.

Actually very interesting stuff. All of these disinformation moves run the risk of making the politician, or their family member look even worse. There's an interesting effect called the "Streisand Effect" that's worth looking into where Barbara Streisand was trying to get pictures of her mansion taken down using said methods and it backfired, and made more people interested in looking.

 

It's this triple play, and the fact people understandably don't like Trump so much, and he's been given the role of controlled opposition, the average voter/connoisseur of information is literally un-willing to accept how bad Biden is that keeps us all voting for the absolute worst of us. Like I bet this post is infuriating to at least some people who read it.
