What’s the theory surrounding it?

Not quite sure, but It sounds like dude was probably on quite a few peoples lists. Moïse was apparently balls deep in corruption. Billions of dollars in aid and loaned oil have gone missing while the country has been going to utter shit for years. I read somewhere that his banana company was once given $700,000 to “repair roads” in Haiti.

Venezuela has apparently been loaning Haiti money in oil for very low interest and didn’t require Haiti to pay the loan back for 25 years. Haiti was supposed to turn around and sell this oil for funds for infrastructure and other social programs to help the country. Many of those funds went “missing.”

Apparently the Colombians are all retired military. One of the Americans was a Haitian born-US citizen who worked as a bodyguard at the Canadian embassy.

There’s also been rumors that the earthquakes revealed that Haiti may be sitting on a fuck ton of oil and gas…

Following the assassination of the Haitian President in July of 1915, President Woodrow Wilson sent the United States Marines into Haiti to restore order and maintain political and economic stability in the Caribbean. This occupation continued until 1934.”

The narrative going around is that he had dirt on the clintons.  All this "corruption" talk is a media op to discolor the man and is why the type of stories on that subject are so prevalent.

Protests began in cities throughout Haiti on 7 July 2018 in response to increased fuel prices. Over time these protests evolved into demands for the resignation of the president of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse. Led by opposition politician Jean-Charles Moïse (no relation), protesters state that their goal is to create a transitional government, to provide social programs, and to prosecute allegedly corrupt officials.[4][5]
