I used to kick it with this one writer back in the day that had hella magazines. I was looking at one magazine and i don't remember if it was a 12oz mag or something else but i find out about 12oz through him... im pretty sure he got his graff mags from tower too. Tower Records started in my city and there were locations all over my city and Tower and this small DJ/Hip Hop/Vinyl store were the only places to get mags at the time. I found the forum in late 2003 but just lurked because there wasnt a thread for my city in brick slayers..i was on another forum that was strictly for my city's graffiti.... for a few years... finally i rechecked 12oz on March 1st, 2004 and to my surprise somebody had made a thread for my city a couple weeks prior, so i signed up that very day....i posted heavily in brickslayers at 1st and would go out and bench to add to the thread.

My first 1000 posts were mostly just in brickslayers and was mostly benching....i slowly started exploring the rest of the forum and found channel zero... started sharing my opinions on things there and started to recognize screen names and personalities... eventually stuck around and posted heavily until about 2007/2008... my city's thread got closed in August of 2007 because of shit talking and snitching... but i stayed on 12oz and at that point had met a bunch of 12oz heads (over 30 up until now)...i remade my city's thread 10 years to the day later from the day it got closed.  I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I credit 12oz for my love of reading and teaching me to shave. Also for meeting a bunch of cool ass people...a couple of who I still call friends.

I dont remember much of anything I posted in the past but I specifically remember making a post with step by step pictures of me illustrating the proper way to shave. Is this what you are talking about?

A Vegas head learned of my collection of rap letter photos and recommended I start posting on 12. I had no idea what I was getting into but I knew if I presented myself as a female, attention would’ve been for the wrong reasons.  I just wanted to share my photos. So I used the name my mother intended to give me had I been born a boy.(the initials SM)  Not after the porn star, the wrestler, the male pole dancer or whoever else I have in common   my digital collection is well over 100k images with only a small small amount of that in prints.

got jumped into channel zero and have made some great connections. Sincerely.

Maybe this will get me back into some self maintenance. I just let my beard grow until it gets annoying.

This made me laugh because I was thinking, man i was just fucking around, thats a crazy thing for some one to hold onto after all of these years.

My findings of solitude are kinda quasi.  But basically I was having a conversation with an oonzer about this very same topic a month or two ago.  Which reminded me that I had told Raven wrong in my humble beginnings when ask to introduce myself and how did I stumble across 12oz.

So first I should start off by saying.  My apologies @misteraven as I told you wrong.  In short I initially said I came across 12 when looking up some anti-goberment stuff.  Which was right but I also had a lot of stuff going on that moment.

With that being said.  I stumbled across my serenity in a straight jacket back in 2018, (August/Sept I think).  I was experiencing some paint drying issues, basically the paint would crocodile.  Really frustrating when a job is due the next day and Rustoleum Professional Oil based paint doesn't do to well in a humind city.

At this point I should add that I am not a painter/writer and just do not have a hand for it not matter how hard I try past and present.

So back to my 12oz serenity, I was in the middle of Google searches for "spray paint/paint crocodiling" and was pretty much not getting any where but auto paint experts and yet, those forums couldn't answer my question as I needed an expert with knowledge paint multiple substrates.   So I come across this site 12oz Prophet and immediately knew my question(s) could be answered.  But unfortunately I had to educate myself and understand 12oz, and so I did.  But as much as I wanted to ask you guys, I knew I couldn't because I would have come off as an F-boi or cop.   So I never asked.  Did I ever figure out the issue?  Yes, light and even quotes.

Anyhow,  in the meantime I just kept coming back, because 12oz to me is a place where I could be myself unlike other social media platforms where you have to be on your best behavior, kinda like going to grandmas house.  You know, the grandma with Crystal figurings everywhere and your cousins are gonna be there with sensitive feelings.

But it was 12oz that got me interested in the history of graff and as I was reading the history of it from the Brazilian Brothers, I quickly learned I am in here with legends.

Thats my 12oz discovery.

PS.  By the way, I have to ask, have anyone one of you oonzers have experience using/mixing Matthews Paint?

I honestly don't remember how I came across this. It was 2004. I must have just been searching www.ask.com or www.google.com for graffiti anything. It's insane to think that was 16 years ago and that wasn't even the start of my writing life. Looking back at my posts from back then... What was I thinking lol. I really do wish EAST BAY SHITS was still around.

Rap letters and word of mouth brought me to the forum as a whole. Brick Slayers Boston, CT, and of course, the legendary Rhode Island super thread is what spawned my initial lurkery. Wasn’t until many years later after some life stopping shit and a whole lot of unwanted time on my hands did my main man @SQUIRRELput me on to the zero. I vividly recall a conversation about channel zero being a hilarious melting pot of endless content. If you had the time, and I damn sure did, one could pull up on the oontz and never look at the rest of the internet ever again LOL. This was the beginning of my 3rd addiction at the time. Skateboarding, graffito, and Channel Zero.

I think I stumbled across this place in like 2006 from BombingScience maybe? To be honest I don't actually remember but I felt like I found a goldmine of pictures. Brick Slayers is what drew me in, it was a quick link to the local drama for anything that I'd miss in my day to day. Ended up staying for Channel Zero after I finally decided to venture in maybe a year or two after finding the site.

I remember a few times I was laughing so hard that I was crying just with some of the clowning on here.
