nicklesndimes
yep, that's how it is working out. some of my pepper plants, both the hot and sweet varieties, just don't wanna break soil. may also restart a few, especially green peppers Edited April 13 by nicklesndimes
ClownPrince
This is the ZZ plant on my desk... thriving in the dusty and isolated environment that I've exposed it to. Should probably re-pot it, and or propagate it, but I'm kinda nervous that I'll kill my desk buddy

I had a few push through but this last few cold spells really fucked things up. until then. Here are my current houseplants most of these need more light. I’m waiting to give them sunlight. Outside. Interesting. What's going on here? Germination?

Dust alone will prevent it from taking in the proper light and since it has minimum light exposure so the most you can to help it. It will adapt but you have to help it a bit. mix 50:50 90% isopropyl alcohol and water add one drop of dish soap (dish soap acts as a spreader with the 1drop . Not intending to make suds) in a spray bottle. Mist them leaves and wipe with cloth or paper towel. Them leaves look so nice and shiny. If you show it love it will know to hang in there. Water rooted them. Had no idea what to do from there so I threw them all in one big ass pot. The roots are incredibly woody. And i had to put them in a pot tall enough to house their roots because they really do not flex. They all started dropping leaves at a certain stage and I couldn’t figure out why. So I heard it will start branching off I cut it down. I cut a few down. I cut like 3/4 of the plant off to see if it would. And it did. So I cut them all about 3/4 down and they are all branching. If I keep them alive it will be like a lil avocado bonsai forest. And I’m gonna do my best to keep them alive. I started to germinate and root out a few more because I want to attempt to bonsai the roots now that I see how woody/hardy they get. I threw the pelvic bone in just recently. Definitely waiting for some outside temps to rise and sun to shine. I forget what it is (I’m really not good at identifying or remembering) but the more light you give it the whiter the leaves become. 2

SMdoubleXL
M also restating my seeds. I really suck at this. Haha. I really just forget that they are tucked in a dark lil corner for a few days and that’s that. So I took measures this time to prevent failure haha. Started a bunch of new shit including some micros. Like pea shoots and red kale. We’ll see how it goes. mid you haven’t figured out that I do pretty much everything by “let’s try this “ and “we’ll see how it goes” I looked around the room for something to cover them from the sun that hits that room. Tinted bubble wrap is what I saw and it’s what I used. It’s perfect. The totes has some stuff in there also. The weight is on top of the micro pea shoots. these pea shoots. soaked peas for 3-5 hrs. (I cannot get pic to orient correctly) used some old baking tin covers for too and bottom. I repurpose as much as possible. soaked peas on the bed. Of soiled that is misted not moistened. turn lid upside down and weigh it. I think the weight is to ensure an even snooty of sprouts. Saw it on a tik tok. Of course ha. 2
Ko SprueOne
I don't think I've ever considered that a use for bubble wrap until now. I also repurpose those plastic containers as, dust free, drying chambers for freshly painted models and subassemblies.
Ko SprueOne
WILD FLOWERS ARE DICKS or WILD DAISIES ARE MARTIAL ARTISTS See the two daisy weeds circled. It's actually one plant. See pictures below. This morning I go out to pick this weed. I pinch just below (Aq) with my thumb and index finger. I didn't feel or hear that ripping roots sound so I look at what I am now holding. It snapped off at about (Ac). That section was growing out of the main stem at (Ab). This leaves (haha), The main root system (A1) and stem (Ab) intact. Sneaky MFrs I've now learned their defensive tactics and now conducting counter measure offensive operations. BTW, The poppies and lavender are kickin ass, pictures later 1

SMdoubleXL
ha. The first time I planted seed was my first year here in Pittsburgh (coming from Vegas and before I knew ANYTHING about plants) I thought you could throw anything in the ground and it would grow. So-I threw some seeds in some containers on my porch and I produced. baby carrots. Lettuce. Cilantro. Rosemary. even accidental flowers from the birdseed. bow? Not a fucking chance of survival if I depended on seeds. I’m ashamed haha.

mr.yuck
I can't believe it's taken me this long to read this whole thread from the beginning. Amazing. So a bird or something shit some seeds into a concrete pad I have in my back yard. I now have a tree about 2 feet tall that is producing these flowers. These bad boys are overwhelmingly floral, almost a soapy citrus smell maybe. They grow everywhere around here but I don't know what they are called.
