nicklesndimes
@SMdoubleXL due to your cactus manipulations, etc in the last page..here's one for ya: i have this cactus that's always dropping to one side like this. do you have any recommendations on how to make it look nicer? as in, can that big section be removed or something? 2
SMdoubleXL
@nicklesndimes i love him! So much character. easy- take some leather gloves or Old tee or paper bag or tongs (use these or other objects to cradle the big guy hanging) get long scissors or a knife. Either should be long enough to cut through with one cut. clean the blades prior to cut. alcohol is best 70% Spray on blades and allow to air dry (at least 10 min [10 min with iso alcohol will kill most things. 70% because by the time it air dries the 10 minute contact time has done its job, 91% dries up too fast to kill) support hanging guy and give one good cut. as far down as you can. Set aside the new cut. existing plant in pot will eventually close up that wound in a few days. The cut part of the new plant will also dry up and close in a few days. These few days are crucial to not get water in either open wounds. the existing plant will respond to cuts and shoot off lil offsprings eventually. The new cut plant will form roots. Put it in some soil when you see those roots. I put it in soil before the roots and crossed my fingers. I will be checking roots this weekend. good luck!! 2

SMdoubleXL
The other night it fell below 50 degrees so I brought my plants in. Being they are mostly succulent, cacti with a fresh water I didn’t want to chance anything. group photo plus these two that didn’t fit in the counter Ive never had a succulent flower before. It has taken months to get to this point the more light this one gets each leaf beacons more white 3
SMdoubleXL
I’ve also pulled some saplings out of the ground gonna attempt to bonsai or go plant them tulip poplar. There are 4 more Ive spotted on the grounds been outta the ground for 3 weeks now Some kinda of oak -1week out of ground this is either an eastern hemlock or spruce. We have a lot on the grounds. This one has been out of ground 4 weeks now same is with this one. 1 week out of ground then this lil boop we pull saplings by the dozens everyday. it’s really hard to pull one so perfect and toss it. A lot of us take home the healthy saplings. 2

nicklesndimes
repotted a few things today... aloe(that i've been having trouble keeping alive): prickly pear(that's been getting huuuge): and apparently, as a friend who is a plant expert just informed me, this is a dragon fruit plant: 2
