Lately been doing a lot of rum & coke, Manhattans, old fashioneds.  Been really digging a barrel aged cherry old fashioned over a single extra large cube of ice, thinking to small batch my own for self and guests.

Had this as a novelty while out the other day- an old fashioned made with peanut butter whiskey and ChambordIMG_8825.thumb.JPG.74bc23ccc38abb96d52975fb2971ed1d.JPG

Need a recommendation on rye. My drink of choice is the boulevardier. I generally only drink when I’m out to dinner and never remember to ask what the bar is making my drinks with.

Tough call, so many out there right now, and many of them are good.   Long as it tastes 'clean' and has the rye fire to it I'm bout it bout it.  Mainly through with buying top shelf from bars/restaurants and even more so if it's a cocktail, if they want to throw Wild Turkey in I'm fine with that.  Bulleit is a decent go to IMO.
