Reminded me of the perfect meme for this occasion. It's aged like fine wine and has become more offensive now than it was a decade ago. 👌 Magnifico

Blocking one person for inciting violence is different to shutting down things at the ISP where you're shutting down many people.

 still kind of awkward though

i don’t necessarily disagree but it’s a bit rich given the timing and the wording, no?

debatable whether or not he incited violence anyway but that’s a whole other can of worms.

Yeah like I said it's awkward given their recent actions and timing.

and if twitter is ‘just a private company that can control who accesses their service’, isn’t it fair to say the same about ISPs?

^ I can't really argue with that to be honest.

Kind of, at one point they decided the phone service was a "utility" and that made them come under different laws.  That is where we used to get our internet, from a utility company.  Now you get your internet from a privately owned company that is leasing copper that runs between DC's and houses.  In some cases they're installing Fiber to your house.

The point I'm making is, society has not called Twitter a "utility".... even though I think people treat it like one.  How many people would be bored af tomorrow if they couldn't access social media at all.  Like not once.  I bet many.
