Not being able to get a bill through is one way of putting it, yes. It's super complex with several legitimate perspectives on the subject. Also their "Nationalist" party actually split leaving their far right  nationalist out to dry and all types of crazy other stuff. Not so boring all the time I guess.

The main issue is they've inadvertently diverted to much of their economy into the healthcare sector, which isn't subject to the same boom, and bust the business creates in other sectors of the economy which weeds out inefficiency, and bad investments. This leads to astronomical cost increases most people can't seem to wrap their minds around how it happens.

You can write all the laws you want saying every citizen is entitled to a certain level of medical care, and we're all going to chip in to pay for it. In reality, the number of qualified doctors to perform these services do not magically go up, or down in abundance with legislation. This leads to several types of abnormalities in the market that drive the demand for, and costs of these services way up. Like paying higher wages to entice doctors to move into the market, encourage them to work more hours, etc. to try to meet the demand.

The Fins have come to realize their mistake, and they're in agreement the insane costs they've got now are unsustainable according to more than one party. Now that it's almost too late to fix, they're trying to get a handle on this situation before it spins completely into  an economic  collapse, but they can't seem to come to an agreement how to stop the ball from rolling towards the gutter now that it's moving. They promised they'd fix it, couldn't, and basically gave the fuck up.

Bernie is actually pretty consistent in his message, and much less demented than Trump. Both are equally psychotic in their unfounded demonization of large, innocent swaths of our countries domestic population. I'd love to sit down with Bernie and find out why he wan't Jeff Bezos to go broke, like does Bernie want us all to be in lines at Wal Mart again? Most of his rhetoric is built on unfounded assumptions that to become wealthy, you must be doing something very immoral, meanwhile he's a fucking millionaire career politician himself. I'd like to know how much of Bernie's own personal wealth came from book sales on Amazon? I really do like Bernie, and his heart is definitely in the right place, but his Socialist policies have been proven over, and over to completely destroy economies.
