Utah_Bench
Why are they not written on as much as other cars, is it the shape color or what?
One Man Banned
Several factors. A lot of tankers carry hazardous materials and the markings that are on them are required by law, so when they get gone over they are going to get buffed so the markings can be restored. With a rounded surface, you have to paint a bit higher up because of the curve and how that's seen from a distance. Since some carry hazardous materials some of their stopping points are essentially inaccessible or not worth the effort. Having said that, you do find a lot of good monikers on them. I see Hbak characters and Mecro R's on them a lot. And back in the day some Midwest cats used to tear those up.
Utah_Bench
Thanks One Man Banned I never thought about the hazardous material issue, figured the shape had something to do with it.
