I learned about it when my much older cousin posted a picture of himself chillin with a tribe called quest in the early 90s on facebook saying RIP. Having dated someone for a year and a half from the very very very small city of Oakley, CA and having spent a lot of time in Oakley the past few years (I was just there a the day before he passed away), I was surprised that Phife had been living there since the early 90s.
