alkaline
Those are cool. I really like the parking grage one. My favorite hand-painted signs are the ones that are really old and faded.

uh and yes
when my grandfather died, there was a huge 8x8 handpainted sign that was on a building owned. a cousin and i fought over it, but he won. i didnt have a place to put it anyways. alkaline
There are tons of hand painted signs on the older buildings around Austin. If you are in the courtyard at Emo's you can see that the dance club on the other side of the alley used to be a winery. The sign is all faded and covered by ivy. Guest WebsterUno
I wondered if anyone that is into graff, got into signage. Its almost the same thing. Like when x-mas rolls around, you go to stores, restaurants and the windows are painted. Those things facinate me. Some are very good, some are just ok. Ive done a few lil signs for people, but nothing special. You know, they say, "Hey, you like drawing on walls, make me a sign!" Theres some cool old ones out here, but I have no flix. :(
alkaline
I've always thought that sign painting would be a cool job. I bet it would be pretty fun.

bobobi11
These are ones I stole from the web. When it warms up, and some of the gray goes away I will go take some pics. A Fire Inside
Rad. I've always like seeing painted signs on building like this. Not the same, but somewhat related, my Grandfather used to paint billboards way way back back in the day and make hand painted signs, but not on buildings, just wood. kinkosnerd
yeah, it seems that most people around here dont really have any idea that there is history involved in signs like these just like there is history in everything else.. It all becomes very discounted.. Glad that everyone has enjoyed so far, I got 2 more rolls coming back in a few days that are almost nothing but this kind of stuff.. Any one out there in a decent sized city.. Drive around, find this kind of stuff, take flicks, email me ( ditd@deadinthedirt.com ) and we can trade. I am down to trade graf flicks for signs like the ones posted at the top... Got tons of trains and walls from all over europe and usa..
