What’s that Skin movie about/ how was it?

Just started Midsommar.

Some dude defects. American History X just not nearly as good.

Midsommar was long and kinda dull but the ending makes up for it

Going to watch Netflix's King in a bit, mixed reviews but can't miss a Robert Pattinson performance at this point.

Watched Jojo Rabbit the night before last. Pretty funny and heartwarming.

edit: my points or whatever is 666 right now.

cool.

The King was good, Robert Pattinson was fun to watch. His accent reminded me of John Malcovich when he was pretending to be French (I forget what film that was in). Poorly done IMO. People complained about Timothee Chevrolet or whatever being miscast As Henry V but I don’t know if I agree. Definitely better versions of Henry V out there though.

just finished season 2 of the kominsky method on nf last night. Pretty solid writing through out, though I don't think our age bracket (under 50) is their intended audience, but I would recommend it.

It's hard to believe I'm going to say this but:

I preferred the tom cruise version.

This is good but to me feels very unfinished and super slow in parts..

quite liked the first episode but the last was a bit of a "get it over with" sensation

I think it's a future classic. The Wire is iconic, Generation Kill was cool but too short, Treme wasn't my thing and Show Me a Hero was meh but this is Simon at his best. Really loved it. When he's at the top of his game he makes some really special shows.

Waiting on the boxset of The Wire to download now.. was never that big in Aus so I've never seen it, people rave about it though so I've been meaning to check it out

Generation Kill based on the Evan Wright book? Was a good read, will definitely be keen to check it out if this is the case

Huh, I had no idea but you're right

Generation Kill is an American seven-part television miniseries produced for HBO that aired from July 13 to August 24, 2008. It is based on Evan Wright's eponymous 2004 book about his experience as an embedded reporter with the United States Marine Corps' 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and adapted for television by David Simon, Ed Burns and Wright.[1]

Sick, Generation Kill will be next on the list then.

Sucks we can't stream HBO in Aus properly, and fuck giving Foxtel any money
