It's actually the exact opposite, true Texas BBQ is smoke + meat, no sauce whatsoever. Many of the as seen on tv joints have begun to offer sauce in the last few years though. But I've been a fan of the sauce for over 15 years, a buddy used to mail it to me until they began selling online.
