Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach: a mini-travotothread

Recommended Posts

Went to the Grand Cayman island for about 48 hours.

Though fuck you USAir, for robbing me of one of those hours and delaying my connecting flight home for 2 hours.

It was totally worth it, I got a decent deal and travel time wasn't too bad, all things considered.

it's the beach:

Cayman is such a great time.

I realise you were only there a few hours, but did you check out that skate park?

thanks all.

CILONE i went with my man, we walked the length of 7 mile beach which is where almost all photos were taken.

i was very stoked to have such awesome weather.

if anyone is curious, we flew of out an east coast city, requiring a short connection to another east coast city. travel time was about 6 hrs down and 8 hrs back bc of the delay.

it was $590/pp [bc you cannot get cheap lodging in the Caymans.]

we brought food with us, first time i ever did that and declared it, which was fine and didn't add any hassle to our entry. in fact, the Cayman's customs people were the friendliest i've ever dealt with.. this was my 34th country.

i get bored of these kinda places quickly. i don't drink and i don't bring smoke on trips anymore

i also don't have tons of cash to spend on my trips.

we saw jet ski rental - $250/hr 2 hr minimum. no thanks.

i also knew i was taking a little gamble going in august

luckily our weather was good, but i saw they got a lot of rain right before we went down

^considering that an average ticket to a football game is $186, i'd say $590 isn't bad for the experience and memories of paradise, sex, surf and sand on one of the world's best beaches.

go ahead though, spend $500 on shoes... or whatever.
