It's like everyone one has to stamp a space on your screen's real estate. Nobody uses that shit, you self important dickheads. You create a picture website and then reduce the amount of space we can see a picture in, goooood thinking ya fucking spastics. I don't mind the new format but I can't see the stats of the vies, comments, favourites and shit without opening the pic. I guess that shit doesn't really matter, I just got used to looking at it and liked knowing how much traffic had been though and if some one 'liked' a pic of mine I'd usually go check out their pics as well. I have a pile of travel pics on photobucket that I uploaded as I traveled. Thankfully I did that as my laptop got ganked at Heathrow on the way though (fucking idiot airport security held me up after my baggage had gone through the xray machine, when I finally got through my lappy was gone and my connecting flight was 10mins away). This redesign had nothing to do with making it better for desktop/laptops, it was all about being more mobile & tablet friendly. Now that they own tumblr, or at least their parent company Yahoo does I can see even more changes coming to annoy long time flickr users. yeah, are you surprised? instagram in particular was kicking its ass. flickr wants to enter that realm. they offered a free terabyte, they offered a semi-sexy mobile design, they went for it. they have to find a way to stay social-media-relevant. which i dont think they can, but, hey, give it the college try. All pictures uploaded to Instagram are automatically GPS tagged w/ their upload location even if you specifically turn the feature off. Further still, your instagram account passively tracks and stores your location every time you open the app. Flickr has been going down hill for awhile but now it seems like they're abandoning their role as an image hoster ala photobucket in favor of tapping into the "stream" market. Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 i sorta like the fact that all the new pics are displayed in a endless stream like tumblr, but when you try to fave shit it won't let you because for some reason there is a thumbnail hanging right over it, meaning you have to go to the photostream, which refuses to load past half way.. idk. coulda been a dope new design, but too many bugs.
