Walid Jumblat
Awesome. I have my Pop's sketches from back in the 1930s framed, on the wall at my parent's house.

Realism
Kilroy was drawn/written by many individuals post-war, though. Basically what I'm trying to say is let's start an argument.

Crocodile Tears
I think its crazy that dudes style was almost perfectly indicative of the time period. Like pure 1945-1955 in all ads and cartoons. Not like I'd even be able to tell a style like whats current now, unless it was some marvel related I guess. But that is spot on.
Crocodile Tears
Yeah but I never thought about looking at private sketches of someone at home. From what Ive seen from that era are clips from magazines or loony tunes. Most of the people I know who character sketch seem more abstract or have their own shit. This dude was totally and obviously influenced by whatever was current at the time. One could make that argument for doing graffiti.
Crocodile Tears
I'm not sure, I think there are also people with a specific style thats recognizable but now there are a million more in pop culture as opposed to back then. Since there are so many more its hard for one to stand out a reign supreme.
