Fist 666 Posted November 16, 2012 Share Posted November 16, 2012 yeah those dudes caught more than their fair share of shit. goat was at least squared away and smart so he didn't let it bother him beef however, had a tougher time. at some point the drill sergeants asked us why we called him beef. we of course obliged to tell his tale. and anyone who has served knows that drills are gossip queens (and assholes) so every drill and cadre member in disney land (basic cavalry barracks) knew to look for the kid and fuck with him. he was one of those whiny black kids that draws attention to himself even when he's trying to be sneaky so he was the scapegoat (entendre!) for a lot. he got smashed in the face with a flashlight at one point for trying to trick someone else into doing his guard shift. he "fell" and the drills didn't question it. about week 10 (of 16) he tried to go awol. fort knox in early march of a record cold winter... he actually got outside the gates, but was found at a nearby walmart trying to buy civilian clothes. he got to start over after that, don't know/care what happened to him.
