sneekatoke
cat5\6 will extend to about 300ft before significant signal loss. if you use wireless, or even if you dont, i'd make sure to password protect those mini domes or you could just be giving someone a free look at your shit. vanfullofretards
worth watching--- If your CCTV doesn't go like the top link, and you only have the video after your place has been robbed, the only thing police can go off of is the face of the person that robbed you... IF he didn't wear a mask. And usually lazy ass cops won't put much effort into trying to find burglary suspects, unless a violent crime has happened example of camera uselessness... ^ dude stole a blanket lol

Haha, totally agree. I'm tempted to wander around town with the black one, as it has a chain attached to it. Either way, I'm not looking for a concealed camera setup to 'catch' people, these are meant to be a visual deterrent. The vehicle idea is meant to be more 'hidden camera' I guess. @VFOR: I'm setting up to get plates as well.
pornbooth
just put a sign up in the front yard saying something like "already been robbed, no valuables left" i seen people do it on their cars talking about their stereo being jacked and it worked, i dont see why it wouldnt work with a house. The reason this dude^ was robbed like that is because the guys in the 300 thought he was a big time drug dealer. Why did they think that? Because of all the security shit around his house! Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Realism
Everyone talking about security systems is a fucking snitchratpigcop Where are your criminal ethics ??
FREIGHTYONE
The real question is, if you have a security system that notifies the police of a break-in, does that make you a snitch by default? DAO?
allfreetime
I'm no pigcop. I'm a salesman. And what you really want for advanced security is perimeter scanning radar. Swoops at 1 second. allfreetime
Yes cell phones and garage door openers at 2.4GHz are the main triggering signals to boost a battery powered charge and ignite an IED. Here is a phone based IED charge which was blocked by a JCREW 'Joint Counter Radio Controlled IED Electronic Warfare' blocker made by my customers ITT, LMCO and SNC.

bed framed
around the same time my parents had their house broken into, they got a lot of hang-up calls from blocked or restricted numbers. the robbers were casing the place to see when someone was home or not. if you make it seem like someone's always home, you won't get your shit stolen. How the hell did they get your parents number? It seems like somebody who knew them were trying to break in. Is anyone you or your parents know a drug addict? Sounds like something a fiend would do. In case they got caught they would feel safer with someone they knew because they would likely go easier on them.
