Shooting at Batman screen in Colorado.

I want to know why they are saying on some places that when he came in the movie stopped and the lights went out. then he started shooting.

Also I want to know why they haven't released any video footage of inside the movie theatre. I mean there are definitely cameras in the lobby and probably the hallways. Lets see some fucking footage. Sounding more like the "pentagon got hit by plane" type shit each day this passes. Oh but we confiscated all the video taps from around the area.

Shit like this is usually outlandish to me but this shit is interesting. Days before the Massacre. Lil Wayne releases a video which has a lot of things in it, that are oddly depicting whats to come to the detail of 12 skeletons in a movie theatre.. The video and the breakdown is here.

Starts at 2:22

And most people with carry permits tend to be the type who take the shit seriously and go to shooting ranges regularly.

You're not gonna find too many knuckleheads with a carry permit just pointing their gun all sideways blindly bucking like it's a Tupac video.

Even with all that body armor, he still would have got knocked on his scrawny ass by the impact.

A shooting range won't teach you jack about active shooter scenarios. There are no rounds coming back at you, you are not scared of dying, your target is clearly identified, you know that the guys in other lanes are not working with the active shooter, there's nothing running between you and the target, there are no bombs going off or smoke in the air. Most of all, you are fully prepared for firing your weapon and you are in control of the situation, you chose the environment, you chose when to fire and you know what to expect of your surroundings.

That is all completely different to an active shooter scenario

no average handgun will knock you over if you are wearing body armour. Maybe a desert eagle or something but a 9mm/38/45 will not.

Without trying to suck my own dick here, I'm marksman qualified and have been in a number of shitfights. This is not just armchair quarterbacking, it's experience and other people's experiences (I hesitate to use the term fact). There are many public notes from active shooter type scenario debriefs from trained and experienced people, this can be CT work, hostage rescue, police work, etc. Read a few and note the confusion and fear and even with their training how unprepared they felt they were for the reality of the situation. Going to a shooting range will do nothing to prepare you for a two way range in complex environments.

Eyewitness states that they saw a person on a cell phone open the exit door that holmes later came in minutes after the person went to the door and stood looking outside like they were looking for someone.

I don't know why people don't realize it was Holmes who opened the door for himself.

Propped it open, went outside (From the regular main lobby doors) and geared up, then re-entered from

the rear.

what christo said.

this conversation has taken place a few times in crossfire, but main points:

-paper targets aren't people with guns

-two way range changes fucking everything

-unless you've done fletc or something like it, been military (a weapons oriented MOS with a weapons job), or are a john wayne cowboy you have not had the training to make a you a bad ass in these situations (and even with the training its no guarantee)

-most ccl holders i've met would be just as likely to hit some innocent bystanders as their actual target.

-rigorous background check? ha. i've seen old ladies who've never shot in their life apply for the WA ccl, hang out in a gun store and listen to women and bros ask questions about what handgun to get... they'll shoot once or twice a year at some paper, maybe beer cans camping, and have no SA in a real life scenario. armed idiots are still idiots.

bottom line: learn to throw knives, be a ninja, where to cut/stab for a fast kill.

It seems like there are a lot of peoples in this thread implying DAO isn't a superhero.

TAKE IT BACK YOU DIVS.

DAO absolutely is a superhero and he absolutely could take down an armed gunman all by himself; powered with nothing but 1/3 of a box of cracker jacks and a regular sprite.

psshhh, you niggaz are crazy, people pop shots at each other ( 2 way shooting range STFU) all the time in the hood, and guess what, they do actually hit each other from time to time lollllll. You make it sound like range shooting doesnt help train someone how to pull out and shoot. THATS THE POINT OF PRACTICING. to know how to use it if need be, aside from just wasting rounds for fun.

Ive been SHOT AT, personally I didnt feel fear in the moment, it was only afterward when you realize the danger, in the moment I know I could have easily jumped behind something pulled out and popped off at the person who was about 25 feet away and got off from 8-10 rounds. A LOT more comfortable then just sitting there thats for damn sure.

and youre going to sit here and say you wouldnt want a carry permit? You my friend are either full of shit, or cant shoot and know youd be more dangerous WITH a gun than not. You make zero sense and should sit in the front row from now on.

"im marksmen qualified, but I rather leave my gun home" PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTT

here's a story about a trained shooter and 'shit getting real'.

we've been running this border check point in coalition with afghani border police for about 2 months, without an arms incident (several ieds, suicide bombers, huge drug finds, huge explosives finds, etc but not one round fired at this point)

our squadron commander decides that he'd like to come see how our night ops function, so he comes out with his tac vehicles and parks in front of our compound. his truck is right in front of the gate/driveway to the compound. as they're parking a vehicle begins to leave our compound and 13 rounds are fired.

a range trained soldier who'd spent too much time on the fob got jumpy and put 3 rounds into the double amputee former police chief stumps, 1 in his lung and 1 in his face, narrowly missing his daughter in the passenger seat. (and a bunch of rounds into the car itself).

the ABP with us of course panic and shoot a bunch of rounds in the air and a couple at the side of one of our strykers.

there was no threat ever, and still shit went drastically wrong.

this was with an m4 at a range of less than 20 feet.

not a c/c pistol in an open theatre with screaming dying kids and women...

case sensitive depending on the person. you cant make broad claims for everyone. People shoot at each other alll the time and still kill each other. Every friday and sat night in the summer this shit happens around here, Ive seen it, seen the aftermaths, so many times that I dont even get up to look out the window sometimes anymore. Youre naive to think people cant function under pressure. Its absurd to classify everyone to react the same.

Haha, no, I'm just laughing at you because you don't have a clue about what I'm even saying.

Here, made simple:

I'm unsure that 3-4 armed and untrained people with handguns in the cinema would have made it that much safer. Let's say 2 of them have no training in how to act in situations where they are up against superior firepower and shit is chaotic. All it takes is one of them to panic and fire wildly and things instantly become twice as bad. Secondly, I'm saying that just going to a range will do very little to train you in actual combat situations. If it did, why do the military waste so much effort on live fire training and all the other facilities for proper combat training? That's what I'm saying and I'm basing it on my training, experience and the experience of those I've worked with.

I said nothing about me wanting to carry or not carry, sitting there to just get shot or whatever other silly shit you wish to imply.

That's why I'm not taking you seriously, because you're dribbling utter shit!

"I got shot at once - war strategy". C/mon mate, surely you can see how silly that shit is?!
