Are you using a call service as well? If so, what's the response time?

I think a lot more people should be having a camera set up at their place of business/residence. People thought I was fucking insane when I got a nerd friend to set up some playstation eye's around my place.

Primitive but it worked.

That's the kicker though, a lot of security firms seem to only send an in house respond vehicle, who basically have no rights what so ever - usually it costs a lot more to have your security direct call the pigs - and if it's a butterfly or some shit hitting off your sensors inside the house, you still have to pay the call out.

I have a gun.

But the gun does no good when I spend most of the month in another state.

If the alarm goes off they call me if I don't answer or I am in trouble they call the police. But here in my city you have to pay $50 a year to have an alarm permit. If not the cops won't come if you don't have it or if they do they fine your ass.

Make sure you get a permit.

If the cops respond to a false alarm you'll get fined for not having one.

Our home security failed to tell us that we needed one.

*Edit, I see you already mentioned that.

$50 a month??? Ours was like $97 for the year.

Permit is $50 a year. Service is $50 a year.
