theprotester
Are you using a call service as well? If so, what's the response time? I think a lot more people should be having a camera set up at their place of business/residence. People thought I was fucking insane when I got a nerd friend to set up some playstation eye's around my place. Primitive but it worked. theprotester
I like having audio. After a traffic stop gone bad last night I'm looking to put something in our cars. Looks like a good system. Install a speaker so you can tell kids to get off your lawn when you're out of town.
Inappropriate_Responder
Broadview 2 years ago $44monthly ^ contract Bunch of contacts on all windows, doors , motions (glass) etc no cam , you balling Response time ? theprotester
That's the kicker though, a lot of security firms seem to only send an in house respond vehicle, who basically have no rights what so ever - usually it costs a lot more to have your security direct call the pigs - and if it's a butterfly or some shit hitting off your sensors inside the house, you still have to pay the call out. fat ralphy
my spot right now is too dumpy for a real security system, all i got is the .40 no doubt when i get to the point that i am a home owner I will go full alarm/home monitoring

earmuffs
I have a gun. But the gun does no good when I spend most of the month in another state. If the alarm goes off they call me if I don't answer or I am in trouble they call the police. But here in my city you have to pay $50 a year to have an alarm permit. If not the cops won't come if you don't have it or if they do they fine your ass.
earmuffs
Also the camera is inside. So it points at the door or where ever I put it and it records 30 seconds when the alarm goes off. Or if someone is still inside the motion detector will set it off.

bigdoughnut69
Not a waste of money. The real po po show up when the alarm goes off. More than 3 times in a year (I thinks) and It'll cost me (If I accidentally set it off), but hasn't happened yet. Crack heads gonna crack. It's worth it when you're out all the time. 12packprophet
Make sure you get a permit. If the cops respond to a false alarm you'll get fined for not having one. Our home security failed to tell us that we needed one. *Edit, I see you already mentioned that. $50 a month??? Ours was like $97 for the year.
