I pretty much came to the same conclusion. How are we supposed to take these articles seriously when the source of many of these articles are questionable?!..additionally, anyone can google search about Bin Laden being dead 10 years ago and find a ton of information about it because after long periods of time with no new videos of him speaking were produced people presumed he was dead. even one of the articles cunt posted had the title " Bin Laden probably dead"..between the years of 2002 and 2010, there was always some kind of speculation that Bin Laden was probably dead due to his health conditions, but the fact is that new videos would emerge all the time and disprove any suspicion of being dead....furthermore there was evidence that he was killed by the U.S. because of the DNA analysis they ran to confirm it was in fact Bin Laden....but for me, the most valid evidence that they killed Bin Laden this past year was the al qaeda statement verifying that he is in fact dead. basically.. credible sources > conspiracy theorists but we are all straying waaaaaaaaaay to far from the original topic....i just wanted to know everyones thoughts on what those marines did. Torture, chemical and biological weapon use, personally I'd rather have my head cut off then have some kind of chemical or biological weapon used on me. People as far as violence and being "barbaric" is concerned, in my eyes is probably about the same as it was then as it is now. Of course I'm not 1000 years old, just my opinion. Fist 666 Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 i agree to a point, but it would be fairly tough to write a 1 page editorial about dehumanizing the enemy in war with generalizations being used in some capacity. its surprising what the public feels sometimes. torture has been shown in study after study to be an ineffective way of obtaining intel. the public doesn't see or care though, the most they can do is say to themselves, 'if that was me i'd tell.' and so they conclude that torture works. but back to the barbarism point, its a part of the human psyche, we either celebrate our victories or we face the atrocity of what taking a human life is. there are political goals that must be achieved (not to start a tangent about the necessity of this, or any, war), and if we allow our fighters to examine the humanity of their dead enemies we will likely lose them. barbarism is a defense mechanism to justify the violence. laugh or cry. In the video I posted of her interview @ 6.07 she clearly says Omar Sheikh murdered Osama Bin Laden. Again I found this interesting and thought it was relevant.
