COLUMBUS, Ohio - Edmonton Oilers winger Taylor Hall was injured during Tuesday’s pre-game warmup in Columbus, Ohio.

While preparing to face the Blue Jackets Hall fell to the ice with teammate Ladislav Smid and slid against the boards in the corner where teammate Corey Potter attempted to avoid the pair, jumping over Hall, but landing on his face with his skate blade.

Hall was attended to on the ice by trainers before leaving for the dressing room for stitches to a cut above his eye.

It appears Hall is unlikely to return to play against Columbus.

Lucky it wasn't his throat... Looked like dude stepped on his face..

Yeah, Chad Rau. Made an impact both times he was called up. Should see him more next year I hope, get him some more minutes. His younger brother is a stud for the UofM Gophers hockey team.

Backstrom was on Planet X or something dude. Drank some wolf's blood before the game, fuck, I don't know. B's created several scoring chances, but he was nuts. Our D was awesome, aside from the several scary moments when we were having trouble clearing our zone. But dude came through - the save on Lucic where afterwards he slammed his stick on the ice was sick.
