!@#$%
i have a membership in my living room at the Wii i have a second membership on a bicycle. it's cheap and effective. :haha: i can see how going to a gym would be cool but it isn't for me at all. the older i get the less i want to be around people, much less when i'm sweating
ImChristeezy
lol agreed. and im only 24. im a people person but not those type of people. the gym is either for fat people that need the motivation and have no other way or super hot/buff people that dont need to work out anymore than they already are and go there to hook up. I do all my workouts in my living room with the blinds closed.

ImChristeezy
her blinds are open. and she hoola hooping lol.... im like running in place and doing squats and misc shit. whats more effective... crunches or sit ups?
forsit
i just signed up at the Y, thats cheaper for me since i'm national guard. i don't know about seattle gyms. I'm south King County. Almost Pierce. That's why I asked because I know you're down there a ways.
Fist 666
ah. well i pay 47/mo for me and wifey. they have a sliding scale for income at ymca. my friend was at one of the local chains, i can't think of the name, and was paying something like 18/mo. i like the Y because of multiple locations and a swimming pool at the one close to my house. and to the people that don't like gyms: i'm with you, but i don't have the motivation right now to do it on my own, and having my wife drag me to the gym with her fills that need. gasfacevictm
Stop doing ab workouts and start squatting. Weights burn more fat than neon cardio workouts. Be a man.
SystemFailure
Gasface hammered into my head in the workout thread SQUATS TILL YOU FUCKING COLLAPSE It honestly works
gasfacevictm
whats more effective... crunches or sit ups? Both are shit. If you really wanna' spend time doing ab exercises, get an ab wheel or do hanging leg raises. Curling up your spine over and over doing sit ups and crunches is only going to reinforce bad posture. Mercer
Damn gasface, on some personal trainer shit in this thread. Cosign the hanging leg raises. Disagree on the females should do weight training thing. To me it's all about the slim waist and the soft an somewhat jiggly everything else. I can't stand to see a female that could be a ten go down two notches because she's got bulging veins.
gasfacevictm
That's ridiculous. Women don't have nearly enough testosterone to become monstrous without pharmaceuticals. If anything it increases ass and thigh size. You don't wanna' see a big round ass? You prefer skinny fat aerobics brawdz? Most guys don't even get big lifting weights yet people always assume women will turn into the hulk after a few months of weight training. Lift heavy, ladies. Big butts are in vogue. Kalashnikov
I feel for y'all that gotta watch what you eat and constantly exercise in order to stay not fat. I never exercise aside from painting and working on cars, eat whatever I want, and still stay the same size. Been that way all my life, I'm 25 now... I know it won't last forever, but I'll enjoy it while it does. Now I'm gonna go smoke a cigarette. :]

gasfacevictm
People that brag about not having to exercise to maintain their physique are usually skinny-fat people or weaklings. Move along.
grd
I'd be totally down with being a weakling if it meant I could eat birthday cake everyday without having to exercise.
gasfacevictm
Yeah, but you're a Welsh girl. You're supposed to be pale, weak & full of cake.
grd
I'm not weak though, physically at least. I have no will power which is why I have to go the gym.

Kid said he was 25 and it won't last forever... think it's called metabolism. Some people have a pretty fucking good metabolism rate... Doesn't make'm weaklings... And gererally these weaklings will have no issues lifting thier own bodfy mass, where as bigger dudes will struggle. Say'n

Brickos
Nope, say'n... Got a mate doing a chain saw course and all the the coconuts are swing these saws around like it ain't no thing. Too bad they can't lift their own body mass to go loping branches... Horses for courses dude.
