His pants are just like the stock market!! Down!! Haaaaa-ha!!

Other insurmountable language barriers I enjoy are saying "tin" rather than "can" and "packet" rather than "bag."

With this in mind, I will exchange cans of tomatoes for packets of crisps and bags of chips for some tins of tomatoes.

Befuddling.

Why would people be buying bats on Amazon and waiting a week for it to be delivered when they can just loot a JJB and get that shit for free?

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/katharinebirbalsingh/100099830/these-riots-were-about-race-why-ignore-the-fact/

1) Socialist policies, political correctness and nanny states leave law inforcement incapable thats why this shit is not under control

2) This wont get as bad in America cause were allowed to have guns, first sign of trouble and citizens

& neighbors can get rid of the trash, I wouldnt hesitate to shoot at scum best believe that

3) Bullshit like this only makes it easier for the Gov to control the state, stupid people need to learn this-

UK is about to loose more civil liberties over this hissy fit

4) Anyone advocating this in the US is a complete moron and is A very uninformed, B completely full of shit or C all of the above- stupid prgressives/ liberals

5) You shoot at the cops theyre gonna shoot back..

6) Rioting for new laptops & wine isnt rebelling against the system & honoring a victim MLK wouldve never

done it like that and hes prob rolling in his f'n grave right now

7) Quit wearing your f'n race on your sleeve and stop using it as an excuse for everything..

I think the Mayor has a great point..

You fail to realize that America was created over a "hissy fit" like this.

And that the founding fathers were "progressive liberals".

As for the hoodie, its mass adoption as an everyday item began with the parallel popularity of hip-hop imported from the US in the 1980s, where rappers modelled themselves as athletes in a bid to emulate the power and success of world-beating sports stars. The corporate balance sheet of Adidas would doubtless be a lot poorer without the patronage of rappers Run-DMC, or reggae star Bob Marley.

Hip-hop later turned to gang culture for its stylistic cues, and it is probably impossible to say whether gangsters modelled themselves on hip-hop stars or vice versa. Either way, hip-hop’s emphasis on strength, status and prowess ensured that Rocky Balboa’s grey marl hoodie would become the iconic, indispensable wardrobe staple for a generation weaned on rhymes and beats.

Somewhere, however, the gangster overtones trumped the sporting counterparts; in London a few years ago, there was even a vogue for teenagers to wear hoodies with horizontal black and white stripes, as if in parodic homage to cartoon robbers carrying bags marked ‘‘swag’’.

And here I just assumed that the rioters were wearing hoodies because England has the most video surveillance of any country in the world and you litterally can't walk down the street without being videotaped.

@12pack: That's like assuming you know something about beer.

I'm not fucking robin hood, but I know you don't piss in your own pool. If you want to steal from someone, steal from someone that can afford it, or deserves it being taken from them.

All these mobs could easily be taking cop shops instead of corner store, family run businesses.

A calculated protest is in order, but they've left it too late now to band together.

We'll see.

@Swindle: Not housing areas; not sure what city you're from but I'm talking the high fashion malls etc. They're angry at a gap in wealth? Beyond that, they're angry at 'the government' - why not attack government infrastructure? They hate the police, but have barely attacked more than one station.

geographically im not sure where the gucci, lv, ralph lauren etc stores are located in london but if its easy enough to get to, influencing a group of black british youths to mob them wouldnt be that hard. if not do you think itd be an easy task to convince them to all please get on the tube to we can pop down a few stations? those stores (at least in melbourne) have much better security than department stores.

so far about this group we know that they are, angry, very unorganized, often not very intelligent to think through consequences. i doubt the the ones doing the looting understand/care about the government/politics at this point. they're out for gain so just play on that.
