I smoked some island outdoors and went snorkeling and was face to face with a cuttlefish within 5 minutes of being in the water. I didn't even know they existed at the time so I bugged the fuck out. I'd say do it if even for a day or half day. Tons of awesome beaches and coves. The smaller islands are right there so I say go for it.
