It goes back and forth...

I heard there wasn't a correlation between the supermoon and the earthquake's. But that youtube video has me questioning that, but then again it is Fox so automatically I want to discredit anything they're involved with.

As long as the New Madrid Fault line aint movin', I guess I'll be alright. I hope this dudes wrong though.

giant ass in the sky happens often i think people are so caught up with hollywood's portrayal of the end of times being near that people react like "Oh my god, I believe in a lie about the mayan calendar ending the world next year" so now blame gets put on things which make absolutely no sense. This shit never happened before Y2K, yes there were theories but no one actually believed in them (well, maybe just a few).

Definitely gonna hang around and try to get a few shots of it. Went out last night and even then it was bright as anything. Too bad my zoom lens is plastic crap, oh well.

That interview was good watching, might do some more research. That's always been interesting, fuck technology, instinct seems to work for animals.

Also pornbooth, I don't think the world will end and people do get too caught up in that, but this is supposed to be the closest/biggest moon for 18-20 years or so. We all know it changes the tides, etc.. It will be interesting to see anyway!

endoftimes ppl have been around fo-eva. i read about how at the turn of the 20th century people were saying basically the same shit, only they didn't call it Y2K.

The web was yesterday awash with apocalyptic warnings that the movement of the moon will trigger tidal waves, volcanic eruptions and even earthquakes next week.

The conspiracy theorists claim that on March 19, the moon will be closer to Earth than at any time since 1992 - just 221,567 miles away - and that its gravitational pull will bring chaos to Earth.

Previous supermoons took place in 1955, 1974, 1992 and 2005 - all years that had extreme weather events

Coincidence? Banda Aceh, Indonesia, was devastated by the December 2004 tsunami which took place two weeks before a supermoon

'If you try hard enough you can chronologically associate almost any natural disaster or event to anything in the night sky - comet, planet, sun,' he said.

'Remember in the past, planetary alignments were going to pull the sun apart. It didn't happen. Astrologers draw a very long bow most times.

'Normal king tides are about all I would expect out of this supermoon prediction.'

prolly a coincidence, disasters happen all the time.

haitian earthquake was unrelated to a supermoon, for example

still funny to watch people panic

(like with this nuclear shit, like a nuclear cloud would travel, intact, all the fuckin way to cali via japan)

unrelated BUT,

the massive Haiti earthquake of January 12 2010 that killed more than 200.000 people . This event was preceded by two Eclipses, a Lunar on December 31 2009 and a Solar on January 15 2010.
