Cliff Notes

And it is officially Kwanzaa!

The party never stops for me!

I knew this thread was a joke when I realized there was no boogie hands option.

But in case anyone may actually believe the implications of this thread:

So wait a minute, is someone here implying that even though the white man has stripped african-americans of our culture we can't recreate that culture or it's considered fake? I may just be feeding the trolls here but I happen to think that creating a holiday is like creating a magic sigil. You get out of it what you put into it. If african-americans want an african themed holiday then we should be able to do just that. In fact, all the traditions on earth are essentially recreations of older african traditions. After all, africa is where it all began. It is the garden of eden. And we lived in paradise and in harmony in africa for over 100,000 years. ... Even when man began to spread out (tower of babel perhaps?) we still remembered our african roots and practically the whole world practiced a shamanism that worshipped a great mother goddess (who was, in all likelyhood african. Even early Christians remembered this as evidenced by the oldest Madonnas (Isis) found in Europe, which were black. The bible itself says that Jesus' skin was like bronze, and his hair like sheep's wool. Those Hebrews were not like European-Jews or Europeans at all. The most common modern day depictions of Jesus originate from Michelangelo's which were modeled on his uncle I believe. The Hebrews originally came from Egypt where they were known as the Hibiru. So technically Jesus is African. As we all are if you go back far enough. Actually if you want an idea of what the real Jesus looked like there is a description of a wanted poster from Josephus: "“A man of simple appearance, mature age, dark skin, small stature, three cubits high, hunchbacked, with a long face, long nose, and meeting eyebrows, so that they who see him might be affrighted, with scanty hair with a parting in the middle of his head, after the manner of the Nazarites, and with an undeveloped beard.” Yes, Jesus frightened small children apparently) living in harmony with our surroundings (except for the large mammals, which were largely wiped out, except in Africa [and North America had huge herds of wild buffalo, the Native Americans certainly practiced a harmony with nature true to the original Africans, but most everywhere else, large mammal populations were decimated] ironically enough, where man had spent the longest time. One interpretation I read said that it was because man was accustomed to living with the large mammals in Africa, but that answer seems incomplete. Perhaps early settlers of farther-flung regions were wary of the unfamiliar flora and decided eating the fauna was safer.) Mankind was still in the garden eating the low-hanging fruit.

But then along came civilization. This is the story of Cain and Abel, which is really a metaphor for Agriculturalists Vs Pastoralists. Sometime during the Bronze Age, near the end of the Age of Taurus, the patriarchy began, and the Cow became a Bull. Agriculturalists were creating huge surpluses of food, started overpopulating their own territories, and then began expanding into other peoples territories. The Age of Aries kicked off and warfare became a way of life, the Goddess had left the building. The cradle of civilization is mesopotamia and the Sumerian story The Epic of Gilgamesh explains that Gilgamesh had the cedar forests cut down so that he could build the cities of his empire. This is the reason why the Middle East and North Africa is desert today. In fact, the desert in the southwestern US was caused by a land rush of opportunistic farmers. "Dust Bowl" anyone? Civilization has destroyed much of the Earth and threatens to destroy the rest. Religion has often been used as a justification of this. First came the patriarchy, and then people began worshipping war gods and thunder gods at the expense of other gods and goddesses, and then it became crystalized in monotheism where Zoroastrianism set the example for the major monotheistic and dualistic (monotheism and dualism both being antagonistic paradigms) Abrahamic faiths of today. Seems that many people today don't even know that the Hebrews were originally pantheists. Elohim is plural. "Let us make man in our image..." Genesis 1:26 "Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." Genesis 11:7 Yet the religious authorities on the Bible will tell you there is only one God, even though the Bible clearly says there is more than one god. The Elohim are the Hebrew version of the Sumerian Anunnaki. And it seems to be a trend in many pantheons that a war god/thunder god takes over (i.e. Zeus, Jehovah, Marduk) and the sea goddess (Mary, which means seas, Isis, Tiamat, the Dragon Queen) that bore all of creation has largely been forgotten. This has been a hostile take-over of heaven and earth.... and now, at the end of the Age, civilization itself is on the brink of collapse. Man is not outside of nature. Babylon is falling, so to speak. And the Goddess shall return from the underworld.

Just a little reminder that we all should honor our mother, Africa. The motherland, and motherculture. The dominant white man's culture is not everything it is cracked up to be. If you want to know the real truth you have to search very hard for it because they have been hiding it for thousands of years. Jesus has been totally misrepresented. If you wanted to be a true follower of Jesus you should read the Dead Sea Scrolls, not the new testament. Paul (known as "The Liar" to the Nazarenes) created Christianity without Jesus. If you want to know what the Nazarenes, like Jesus himself, believed you should read the Dead Sea Scrolls. "Paul", or perhaps we should still call him Saul, persecuted the Jews. The Nazarenes never accepted "Paul" into their society so "Paul" decided to create his own religion, deify Jesus, and blame his death on the Jews (ancient anti-semitic propaganda). I could go on and on about all this but I'm starting to get tired of typing and I don't want to bore you guys.

So, bottom line is, the historical Jesus wasn't even born on Dec 25. That was a revision of the Romans when they blended Christianity with the Sol Invictus cult. So why should Christmas be considered a "real" holiday then? Do you celebrate "Christ" (The Christ, by the way, is a Greek idea, not Nazarene or Jewish) or do you celebrate Sol Invictus? Most people don't even know. Why should Kwanzaa be considered fake? There is a huge amount of obfuscation of the truth in Christianity from the very beginning. Most all of mythology is a retelling of even older stories that have been handed down orally through the ages. It is highly probable that most all of the oldest, most venerable traditions have roots in Africa. If age and origins have anything to do with authenticity and venerability we should ALL be celebrating Kwanzaa to reconnect with our African roots, which we ALL seem to have forgotten (not just african-americans). The Kalahari Bushmen are the oldest living culture on earth. Maybe we should be celebrating their holidays? It is an older tradition after all. Look at this:

It is the same old story of civilization displacing older, more peaceful traditions, of Cain slaying Abel. These atrocities happened all over the world. Except the Bushmen were some of the few lucky ones to survive.... maybe only because they moved to the Kalahari desert, which the food producers did not care about.

We were all shamans once. You know what? It's all good! We can all celebrate whatever, and however we want! It's just when you think your beliefs are better than someone else's is where we get in trouble. And that's when the long bloody history of the patriarchy began. The dominant paradigm is just that, dominant.

Please don't spread the hate.

If you read all this, congratulations for reading. It is a lost art.
