Lewis and Clark
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_camouflage In 2003 three professors at University of Tokyo — Susumu Tachi, Masahiko Inami and Naoki Kawakami — created a prototypical camouflage system in which a video camera takes a shot of the background and displays it on a cloth using an external projector. The same year Time magazine named it the coolest invention of 2003 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygh1-ul6E94 ^ this mimicking octopus is was more badass though

delonemonkey
real invisibilty is going to pop up when we can manufacture better meta-materials. we can already make something almost completely invisible to red light. It works by using a material that does not reflect or absorb the specific wavelengths of light, so they just go around the object like its not there. MAR
It's not quite there yet. This cloak only works for a certain wavelength, that's why they have to film through a special camera.

earl broclo ESQ
So it's a cloak that is made of a fabric that allows something to be projected on it? How does this work independently from the special projector. Until then, I'm not impressed.

earl broclo ESQ
It says @ 35 seconds in that it uses a camera, a projector, and a computer. If it isn't using any projectors, cameras, or computers, then I'm going to say DONKA DOO BALLS.
