iloveboxcars
Dubstep is a genre within techno. I think it's what Jungle/DnB has become. But I could be wrong, because i've never actually sat down and listened to it.

shai
Techno gives me a headache 95% of the time, the other 5% ranges from tolerable to "hey, that's actually kind of cool." Dubstep makes me want to throw folding metal chairs at hippies 150% of the time. That's the difference between techno and dubstep.

SystemFailure
If I hear dubstep after ingesting mass amounts of alcohol and some drugs I will like it a lot. If I hear dubstep prior to ingesting mass amounts of alcohol and some drugs I will like it. If I hear techno after ingesting mass amounts of alcohol and some drugs I will hate it a lot. earl broclo ESQ
Detroit Techno is great music. But to each their own, it's not for everyone. I don't really know Dubstep that well. To me it sounds like a hybrid of drum n' bass and speed garage from the late 90's, but dubbed out. I don't hate it, but still haven't grown to really love it like most people.
