it seems kinda cool, however 600mhz processor doesn't seem fast enough.

My phone has a 528mhz proc and it chokes frequently.

Most new phones (Droid 2, Droid X, Evo, HD2, etc) all have 1ghz processors, so I think

for a tablet it would be a requirement.

 

One thing I kind of like about tablets is the book feature for textbooks at school.

A new textbook generally will run about $100-150, but most textbooks also have

digital versions available for around $30, so you could save some money there, and normal

ebook readers don't seem to have big enough screens and some aren't in color so for textbook purposes they would be ass

 

Samsung is supposed to be coming out with an android tablet pretty soon, I'm excited to

see what they do with it

Sounds like you grew up on computers, so you dont know life without them and think they're necessities to everyday life, but all this "new" technology coming out you're half smart to realize is superfluous.

 

It's all superfluous. Even books. The written word should be banned from non-fictional usage.

ANd when you consider the fact that the future of computing are handheld devices such as this, with the power to just stream the desktop off a more powerful and less portable computer somewhereelse, the ipad's the shit.

I'm kinda interested in building an opensource touchpad. They're relatively inexpensive, but I have no

"real" use for one atm. Just one of those things nerdy people do.

how about the accessory side to it. It really goes good with a latte' and a bench. But it's powers are useless unless people see you with it.

I'd rather not, though. I do want to go buy a new ipod touch 4th gen, though.

I've got two laptops, a desktop, and various other nerd toys. I'd rather build

a touchpad myself. Would appreciate it more and that kind of thing (problem

solving, loading up an OS and working out bugs, etc) really "gets me off".
