Ok... so if 11. 1+1 = 2 - 11 = 9 12. 1+2 = 3 - 12 = 9 and so on till 20. 20. 2+0 = 2 -20 - 18 and so on till 30. 30. 3+0 = 3 3-30 = 27 and so on till 81. It's all multiples of 9.... I didn't notice that the symbols rotate through each time, so I was expecting the same symbol to correspond with my origional number. So, the answer is magnets.
