pornbooth Posted May 20, 2010 Share Posted May 20, 2010 On weekdays I go to my aunts place and do work around the house for loot, anyways she got a nice sized pond... on her property. Its stocked with blue gill, bass, catfish, carp, crawfish and frogs. I always wanted to fish it but havent gotten to it yet. This afternoon I was gettin done with workin and was sittin on the dock smocking a cig staring at the bluegill... and thought I should catch me one of these. I go to the boathouse for a fishing rod, I grab me this snoopy pole... which it just over a foot long. I hook a small piece of fish food to it and cast out, well it only goes a few feet so i reel it in. The hook was caught on the floater and the bait was gone, I move the floater back about 10 inches from the hook and bait it then cast, it goes about 7 feet or so to where all the blue gill are chillin, i start reelin in the slack when the floater starts bouncin around. I yank the rod to hook it and I hooked it, so im reelin in fightin with the little blue gill. Then suddenly the line goes and the snoopy pole is lookin like its gonna snap.... Took me a few but I managed to reel this in. The only catfish known to be in there are way bigger than this guy. It was a total surprise and funny at the same time, just thought I'd share. Now in my new living area though its only fresh water :-( Ive been missing the salt water enjoyment and bountiful supply of fish. Go to a nice place and use live shrimp..there is just so much to catch, so many different kinds. Fresh water makes me feel so limited...maybe I just havent fish it enough. I baited the hook with one of the foods you can see floating in the blue gill pic. The cat is descent size to about a foot and a half long, big enough to not be disappointed by the catch. Fresh water makes me feel so limited...maybe I just havent fish it enough. if your fishin in a stream/river for bluegills then your going to be catching tons of mutt fish youve never seen before. crappies, flyers, bluegills and all the different somewhat similar looking fish mate and make some crazy colorful lookin things. guaranteed to provide hours of arguing over what kind of fish you just caught.
