Definitely not a hoax, but doesn't necessarily mean it came from another planet. It could have been military aircraft and/or flares dropped from aircraft. The Phoenix Lights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights The orbs over South Mountain were probably a haox/diversion planned in response to the real sightings that night: the HUGE black triangle that flew very low over the entire state.
