He seems to be trying to lead the recovery effort (by visiting beaches, etc). I'm fine with this, the country needs someone to lead the way in cleaning this up, especially considering how many people are now and will be affected. But Obama is trying to dodge accountability. That is, he's trying to earn points on the public stage by appearing as a "leader" while leaving the actual cleanup and engineering to BP. He can't have it both ways... By being a leader you invest yourself in the problem and acquire accountability for it if you fuck it up...
