pornbooth Posted April 29, 2010 Author Share Posted April 29, 2010 truffle oil has 0% truffle in it fifty you are correct for most, but not all are truffle-less. make your own- Finely chop a very dry, fresh truffle, and place in a clean jar with enough olive oil to completely fill it. Allow the truffle to steep for a few days, then store the jar in the refrigerator. The oil will solidify when cooled but will liquefy after leaving out at room temperature. Beaureguard Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 thats great i know how to emulsify flavors into oil thanks dude. buuuut store bought has no truffle in it. must haves pantry & fridge... eggs whole milk unsalted butter extra virgin olive oil onions whole garlic kosher salt black peppercorns chix stock with this you can do pretty much anything to whatever. i usually always have some cut of chicken, cilantro, roma tomatoes, cilantro, sausage, bacon, cumin, and mirepoix stuff in addition.
