straight up... hugggge difference between the u.s. & canada is the post secondary planning of kids. on paper, college makes absolute sense all the way around. and in fact, i hope that if i ever have kids. they will be enrolled. but up here in canada man, shit i couldnt count more than one hand of people i know that went to college.

i mean, dont base what im saying on my surroundings because shit, i didnt exactly grow up with a buncha blue chippers but im serious. people just dont go up here unless there going to end up doctors/lawyers and anything else specialized.

dudes go to trade school, or just keep working there way up from whatever job they start off with outta school. lots mill shit up here, BC is like 99% rainforest. aint no education needed for that, just hard work. you get paid mad good.

hell of alot more than some dude straight outta college with his socialism degree.

While I generally agree with the stupidity that is getting some shmuck degree in "academia" if you have an ambition in a specific field then college is the best route to increase the potential of a good future.

when i was 16, i was working at this cafe (half of minimum wage, under the table) so i had to get food stamps and general assistance just to pay rent and eat. i decided to sell some weed and i was completely content. then i got a real job cuz i felt bad getting food stamps. definitely had more fun slangin weedz, getting money from the government and working at a cafe on 16th and valencia in sf.

ya absolutely, not like you can just walk into an archetecturing firm and be like yo, i like buidlings can i have an application.

im more speaking on kids that do the 4 years to get that degree with no idea or care what there gonna do next. if your enrolled in college and your main concern is "general studies" you could be better yourself in a wide variety of other aspects in life and finance. and again, im not calling them dumb or think there stupid for doing so, in fact quite the contrary. but there are alot of other alternatives.

one thing you notice with people that did go to university is that they talk different, i find them more calm. patient. more able to asses shit rather than just react and hope they can trust themselves with said reaction.

also, typing/spelling is a big difference.

Hope you enjoy it. Wish I was as secure with money. Ive been enjoying free time and only working 1 to 2 days a week. Today I got hired at another place to return to the full time work. I enjoy my work with restaurants though so Ive never been bothered by work.

They pay me to study, not sit in vomit.

They pay you to study. That's great, seriously. Good for you.

You going for some liberal arts degree? If so you might want to work on your English, because I know for sure that is a giant part of all liberal arts degrees.

this is true.

but it depends on the cost of the space and clientele being catered to.

BUT. i a friend of mine has an older brother, who needed to prove on paper 45 MILLION dollars in net worth to take out a 4.5 million dollar loan, so through networking, they dug up a silent partner in alaska lol dead surrrrus
