my boy has a hookup with a guy who has a storage filled with old krylon. before they went to 360 fan tips. he sells it $2 a can. its a pretty good deal. nothing better than bombing with NY FAT and BLACK KRYLON

^ *shrugs* your guess is as good as mine. If art primo is trying to sell krylon without the fan tips then their advertisement is wrong.

 

Artprimo might have a stock of non-fan tip krylon. But is krylon REALLY going to scrap the fantips and valve systems altogether? I have my doubts.

 

I'm not curious because I want to buy krylon if they do away with the fan tips. I'm curious for the sake of the product development. I wonder if sales went down after they switched. Interesting.

Krylon is pretty bad, however I picked up a case of it for a buck a can last week. Female valve, satin "pebble" color. It's alright for fills but I absolutely would not spend more than a buck a can.

 

Drippy and thin aint no way to go through life.

SFB was the shit for lowlighting and tricks like that... I'd love to get my hands on some OSHA purple or Green.... those were dope colors

 

At one point you could call Krylon Directly and order Pallets of the old shit... I know i had a friend get a pallet of eith Semi flat or Ultra flat for like 2.50 a can, so he got it damn close to price... i dont know if thats what ArtPrimo did or not, just saying the options out there.

art primo carries krylon....but not all the colors because alot of the colors did go to shit. and no....the picture isnt photoshopped. it was an art primo ad. they carry black, white, osha, farm, and other random colors that are good.

 

but.....really, why bother buying krylon when you can buy premium paint? i think its for the people that want to reminisce. or for the people that have never used it....(which i think it is alot of people that post on 12oz). like it or not.....for a long time krylon was the standard our subculture required from a can of paint even after it started to get watered down, for a variety of reasons. it wasnt dusty, and when you pressed on your cap there wasnt a delay like rusto had, you could actually use german thins and ny thins with precision....rusto was and still is only good with fat caps. you can use german thins with it...but the delay is so bad that you need alot of practice to get use to it, and it still wont be as clean.

Eell after many weeks of testing, practicing, reviewing, and such I have figured that most of what I knew was wrong! Therefore I am here and I guess I'm "somewhat" better? And yeah rusto is better, or at least now it is, it's just that it kinda pained me to throw away what i began with and all...but in the end you gotta do what u gotta do.

krylon has sucked since the mid 90s period. EVERYTHING they made after tthat was wack. even before that, it was never really good paint, just nice colors.
